Kerouac. Collector. Michael von Graffenried.
Being half Algerian I would love to be able to roam the country & take photos freely. Unfortunately I have never been there & despite recent improvements it is still a dangerous place for anyone with a UK passport & photographers are viewed with suspicion.
Michael von Graffenried is a photographer who has documented Algerian life secretly taking panoramic shots on a widelux camera. Here is a film about his work:

Bill
Six years ago this September two life altering things happened. My stepdad Bill passed away & I started a new job.
Almost exactly six years since my first day I have just handed in my notice. This unsettling period has encouraged reflection on that September month of mixed emotions, great sadness & new beginnings. It seemed appropriate now to post up a picture of Bill.
It's ten years old, shot in our darkened living room with one tungsten light. I don't think Bill liked the photos of him very much. I just wish he was here to nag me not to post it.
